Well, the day has arrived. My braces are here and today I got them "installed". There's probably a more appropriate term but having things attached to your teeth so you can snap some really expensive plastic stuff on and off sounds pretty much like an installation to me. Questions are probably popping into your head like. . . 1) Seriously, how old do you think you are Barb? or 2) Does your dental insurance cover that?
I realize that I should have done this 15-20 years ago or, at the very least, while our dental insurance still had orthodontia coverage but woulda, coulda, shoulda I'm doing it. Get ready because this is just one part of the overall plan. One bonus - I may end up losing weight because I can't eat or drink anything (except water) with the Invisalign in place. Trust me, when I've been hungry for a snack, I don't bother because it's too much trouble.
Uh...22 hours a day? I can barely make it a night's sleep with my retainers in (and how old am I to still have my retainers from braces!?) It's all worth it in the end
