When I bought my house, there was NOTHING planted in the back yard. It was merely a lawn, and not a very nice one at that. My sister and I talked about how nice a climbing rose would look against the side of the garage and she suggested one called Dublin Bay. Boy am I glad she did. This rose is bulletproof. It blooms from May until the first frost and is quite disease resistant. I cut it back in the spring and just neaten it up during the blooming season. The flowers have a fruity fragrance and the velvety petals are one of the truest reds I've ever seen.
