Day 352 - Classroom Preparation and ISS

Spent another day in my classroom and checked a few more things off my to-do-list.  It probably doesn't really appear that way from the pictures BUT there are things you cannot see.  For example, the two recycling bins I've filled (and emptied) with files from stuff I taught 10 years ago.  See all those cabinets and drawers?  A number of them have been emptied!  Looking forward to filling them up again but in a more organized manner.

For the second night this month, the International Space Station was visible in our sky.  Now that the Space Shuttle has come and gone, it makes me sad and I have a number of sad and positive memories.  I was home watching the Challenger launch the day it exploded and I instantly knew something was wrong.  I also remember watching Columbia fly over my apartment in Seattle one evening and the way the sun lit it up as it streaked across the sky was cool. I watched the ISS several nights ago and it was brighter than tonight but I grabbed the cell phone tonight and attempted to capture a video. Very shaky and at times, totally dark or moving in and out of the trees but here it is.
