I headed to school today even though I don't HAVE to be there for another two weeks. My goal was to get a jump start on my classroom because there never seems to be enough time during that week before the kids arrive. Bottom line is I forgot to take a picture of my classroom so that will have to happen later on this week.
As I pulled out of the school driveway I was saddened by the devastation that has occurred over the summer, all in the name of "progress". What used to be a very large wooded section containing one house is now cleared out to get ready for multiple homes. I know I've blogged about this before but it is a big hot button for me.

After looking at this, I opted to avoid I-405 and headed out through the Snoqualmie Valley and up towards Maltby, Clearview, Snohomish and on into Everett. I made a quick stop at Flower World to check out their clematis varieties. The hummingbirds were everywhere and I was sorry I didn't have my big digital camera. Whipped out the point and shoot and took a few shots. Needless to say, I felt lucky to have gotten anything as I couldn't even see the images on my camera.
Boo to more homes up there :(
ReplyDeleteI missed the hummer the first time around...cool pic with a point and shoot
