My neighbors took care of the cats while I was away. Diane fed the cats in the morning and let them out but she had trouble rounding them up at night. My neighbor Jim told her he'd take care of that. Apparently, although this doesn't surprise me, he was like the pied piper with three cats following him across the street at dinner time. I picked up some tea and a pair of earrings for Diane but Jim (and his wife Donna) always tell me that I shouldn't get them anything. I usually get something for their garden or make them food. I got a beautiful astilbe plant for their yard but it wasn't nearly as interesting as this crazy eggplant plant I saw at the nursery. There are very few foods I don't like and eggplant is one of them but I'm so tempted to plant some of these next year.
