Day 271 - Cruisin' on Colby

Every Memorial Day weekend, Everett holds an event called "Cruisin' on Colby". For two days, they close down Colby Avenue through town.  Some 400 classic cars cruise up and down the avenue as spectators watch.  The event culminates with 700 cars lining the streets so everyone can get an up close look at some amazing automobiles.  There were so many folks out there it was difficult to get pictures of the cars without people in my shots. I decided instead to focus on the details of these classic cars and I've selected some of my personal favorites to include here.

I saw spectacular grills. . .

a variety of headlamp styles. . .

and swooping fins. . .

dramatic hood ornaments and decorations. . .

wide and narrow tires. . .

and finally logos, models, paint detailing and vintage dashboards.
