Breakfast this morning included waffles and the wonderful concoction below. It was like a delicious creamy fruit smoothie in a sugar coated glass. We packed up the car and were on the road to San Francisco by ten.

Our plan was to drop the car off at the airport and take BART into town. The plan changed when we realized how much stuff we were lugging around so we took a cab. Our cab driver was a bit crazy and by the time we got to our hotel, we couldn't get out of the car quick enough. Long story - not worth describing here.

Our plan was to take a ride on a cable car. Unfortunately, the line closest to us was being repaired so we took a bus to another line and did get a ride. We are getting our money's worth out of our 3-day transit pass. We got off above Lombard Street so we could see the curviest street in America. Then we headed down towards Ghiradelli Square and the waterfront.

After walking around for 4 hours, we came back to the hotel and made some dinner reservations. We walked down a wonderful brasserie and bar called the Grande Cafe. It was a great old place and we both had wonderful meals. The pictures of our desserts really don't do them justice.
Tomorrow, we're heading out to Coit Tower in the morning. Not sure what's on the agenda after that.
