This weekend was a bit of a roller coaster ride. My friend Paul ended up back in the hospital once again. The time spent on the oncology/intensive care floors here (Paul's "home" away from home) seems to be increasing. He was just in here from 8/29 until 9/4. Then the very next day he called me in the early evening to bring him back. After going home for 3 days, here he is again. The daily uncertainty is very hard on Paul and those of us taking care of him - hard to work your normal job and be available at a moment's notice to drive to the hospital 10-20 miles away.
Thank goodness we finally convinced his brother Peter that he needed to come out here from Connecticut. Those of you who know me can only imagine how blunt I was when he advised me that Paul was discouraging him from coming and he didn't want to go against Paul's wishes. Peter arrives tomorrow for an undetermined period of time.

On a positive note - seriously cool view as I left because the Sun was going down but the Moon was already high in the sky |
I took some much needed advice from my friend Anne who told me I needed to do something nice for myself and she was SO right. I booked a long overdue pedicure at InSpa in Woodinville. . .ahhhhhh.

unfortunately, my slender ankles look more like tree trunks in this view hence the soft focus option |
You have delightful looking feet...you should be a foot model...I'm just not sure if oven mitts would keep them looking soft and staying safe :)
