Looking Back on the Week

The leadership students took it upon themselves to make a poster welcoming each teacher back to school. They ran around and tacked them up outside every classroom - so sweet.  Here's mine.

Especially love the "Go Red Sox!"  Pretty sure that was courtesy of a great kid named Joe.

In that first week, kids get really tired of listening to their teachers drone on about their rules and where things are in the classroom and what the rules are and blah, blah, blah. . .  Studies show that kids remember things if they actually move around, touch things and locate the information themselves so I sent them on a classroom scavenger hunt.

After just 4 days, we're all pretty exhausted.  It takes a week or two to really hit your stride.  I headed over to Anne's house for a little unwinding.

You have to love the welcoming committee
