It's Not All Fun and Games

Teaching science can be very fun at times.  Like today.  Students made a density column with corn syrup, water and vegetable oil.  They then placed a nylon spacer and a copper cylinder in there.  The ultimate product is pretty cool as you can see from this picture.

The cleanup that occurs after 5 classes of these is really not very fun at all.

First you have to recapture the two objects

Then you have to try and pour out all the corn syrup

Finally, you have to scrub, scrub again and keep scrubbing
