Teaching science can be very fun at times. Like today. Students made a density column with corn syrup, water and vegetable oil. They then placed a nylon spacer and a copper cylinder in there. The ultimate product is pretty cool as you can see from this picture.
The cleanup that occurs after 5 classes of these is really not very fun at all.

First you have to recapture the two objects |

Then you have to try and pour out all the corn syrup |

Finally, you have to scrub, scrub again and keep scrubbing |
