Yesterday the neighbors came over when I arrived home to tell me that Skye appeared injured. When I saw the wound on the side of her head I calmed her down and brought her inside. She let me clean it up a bit with some hydrogen peroxide but she would NOT let me get near her legs or feet. I wasn't sure if she'd been attacked by a raccoon or a dog or perhaps rolled under a car. I made her comfortable for the night and decided to call the vet in the morning to see if I could get an appointment.
She knew once the cat carrier came out that something was up. After checking her over, the vet decided to keep her overnight, shave and clean the wound and thoroughly check her over for additional injuries. When I arrived home, the pets were clearly confused.

It's seems unnaturally quiet around here tonight. I can't wait to pick her up tomorrow evening.
