My students are learning about lunar and solar eclipses this week. Some of the models we use in this curriculum leave a bit to be desired but for this activity, this model does a decent job. Notice the nice eclipse created by the maglite "sun" shining on our styrofoam "Moon" which has moved in front of our 12 cm "Earth"?
